Since Sky Mobile is an MVNO on O2's network, it benefits from O2's 2026 satellite coverage extension via Starlink β though Sky Mobile does not market this separately.
Roaming β Read Carefully
Sky Mobile's roaming terms are not the same as O2 direct, despite using O2's network. As an MVNO, Sky Mobile sets its own roaming pricing independently of O2.
EU roaming: Not automatically free on all plans. Some Sky Mobile plans include EU data; others charge daily. Always check your specific plan's roaming section in the Sky Mobile app before any trip.

What Changed in 2024 β Important
Two significant changes occurred in 2024 that reduced Sky Mobile's differentiation:
Piggybank reduced from 3 years to 12 months (April 2024). Existing customers with data stored under the 3-year system were given notice. New customers now have a 12-month maximum. The feature remains useful but less powerful than it was.
Data-free Sky TV removed for new customers. Previously, watching content via the Sky Go app didn't count against your data. This is no longer offered for new sign-ups β removing a significant differentiator for Sky TV customers.
