About EE

EE (Everything Everywhere) is the UK's largest mobile network by coverage, owned by BT Group. Formed from the 2010 merger of Orange UK and T-Mobile UK β€” two legacy operators that together created a new dominant force in UK mobile. EE launched the UK's first 4G network in October 2012 and its first 5G in May 2019. Its 5G+ Standalone (SA) architecture launched September 2024, reaching ~44 million people. EE has been independently rated the UK's fastest mobile network for more than 10 consecutive years.

"Fast network but expensive. I switched to Tesco Mobile on the same O2 network for Β£12/month less. EE makes sense if you need the Inclusive Extras, otherwise you're overpaying."

"The 5G speeds are excellent in the city. App works well. My only complaint is the annual rise β€” Β£2.50 a month sounds small but after 2 years it adds up significantly."
